Each clan will have a Bulletin, providing essential updates, upcoming events, and reminders for players. These bulletins will be organized into threads, with multiple sections for easy navigation.

Here's a breakdown of what each section includes:

Leadership Reminders

The Leadership Reminders section serves as a vital tool for in-roleplay announcements, helping clan leaders and high-ranking members stay organized and ensure significant events are acknowledged. This section is designed to track and document key milestones within the clans, ensuring no important details are missed.

Purpose of Leadership Reminders

  1. Announcements and Milestones:

    • Recognize and announce major events such as:

      • Ceremonies (apprenticeship, warrior naming, retirements).

      • Role changes (new deputies, medicine cat appointments, etc.).

      • Kit births and new litters.

      • Deaths of clan members.

  2. Organizing Clan Meetings:

    • Provide prompts and guidance for scheduling and structuring clan meetings.

    • Ensure that roleplay events remain consistent and in sync with the server's ongoing storylines.

  3. Fostering Immersion:

    • Highlighting milestones and events helps maintain a dynamic, evolving world that reflects the actions and decisions of the characters.

How to Use Leadership Reminders

  • Leaders and high-ranking characters should use this thread to:

    • Post in-character announcements about recent or upcoming events.

    • Keep track of unresolved ceremonies or role changes that need addressing in meetings.

    • Provide updates on ongoing roleplay developments or clan dynamics.

Character Tracker Updates

The Character Tracker Updates section is essential for maintaining accurate and up-to-date information about all characters in the roleplay. It ensures smooth roleplay progression and consistency across the server by allowing players to report any changes to their characters' details.

Plotlines

The Plotlines section is dedicated to tracking all major story arcs and events within the server. It serves as a timeline for the clans' shared history, documenting both current and past plotlines. This thread provides a clear and organized reference for players, helping both new and returning members stay informed about the progression of the server’s overarching story.

The structure of the plotlines follows Freytag’s Pyramid, mirroring the narrative progression of a season of a show. Each arc includes distinct stages: Rising Action, Peak, and Falling Action.

  1. Rising Action:

    • Build-Up and Hints: The Rising Action begins with subtle hints, clues, and foreshadowing that hint at the upcoming event. Tension gradually increases as players uncover details and prepare for what’s to come.

    • Countdown Timer: As the plot approaches its climax, a countdown timer will be introduced, signaling the event’s imminent arrival and giving players time to prepare.

  2. Peak:

    • The Event Unfolds: Once the countdown ends, the Peak of the plotline is announced. This section will include:

      • The title of the event (e.g., "The Great Flood" or "The Shadow’s Invasion").

      • Key details and instructions on how players can interact with and influence the event.

    • Intensity and Action: This stage marks the moment of greatest intensity, where the core of the story unfolds through active roleplay.

  3. Falling Action:

    • Aftermath and Reflection: Following the climax, the plotline transitions into the Falling Action phase. Players will roleplay the fallout, resolving lingering conflicts, reflecting on the event’s consequences, and preparing for a period of calm.

    • Rest Period: The Falling Action allows for downtime between arcs, giving characters and players time to recover before the next Rising Action begins.

Why Use the Plotlines Thread?

  • Keeps Everyone Informed:

    • The thread provides a centralized reference for tracking active story arcs.

    • It ensures clarity for all members, avoiding confusion about what’s happening in the server.

  • Organizes Server Lore:

    • Past plotlines are archived, creating a comprehensive timeline of the server’s history.

    • This timeline helps players understand how the clans and their relationships have evolved over time.

  • Guides Story Progression:

    • The structured format allows for a natural ebb and flow in storytelling, giving players time to engage in both intense action and reflective moments.

How to Use the Plotlines Thread

  • Active Plotlines:

    • Check the thread regularly for updates on Rising Action clues, countdown timers, and event announcements.

  • Archived Plotlines:

    • Refer to past plotlines to understand the server’s history and gain inspiration for character arcs or story ideas.

Gatherings

The Gatherings section is dedicated to managing and tracking clan participation in monthly gatherings, held on the 1st of every month. This section ensures smooth coordination, keeps players informed about attendance, and provides a historical record of gathering events.

Clan high ranks are responsible for organizing and posting updates, ensuring every clan member has the opportunity to participate.

Types of Posts in the Gatherings Section

  1. Gathering Interest:

    • Purpose: This post gauges who is available and interested in attending the upcoming gathering.

    • When Posted: Typically posted 1-2 weeks before the gathering, giving players ample time to respond.

    • How It Works:

      • Players react to the message to indicate their interest in having their character attend.

      • This allows high ranks to plan the attendance list in advance.

  2. Gathering Announcement:

    • Purpose: This post lists all characters who will be attending the gathering.

    • When Posted: Shared a few days before the gathering, ensuring everyone knows who will be present.

    • How It Works:

      • The list includes all confirmed characters.

      • If your plans change, notify the high ranks so they can adjust the list accordingly.

  3. Gathering Recap:

    • Purpose: Provides a summary of key events for those who missed the gathering.

    • When Posted: Usually posted 1-2 days after the gathering.

    • How It Works:

      • Summarizes major events, announcements, or any notable interactions.

      • Acts as a historical record, helping track the timeline of past gatherings.

Why Use This System?

  1. Smooth Coordination:

    • Helps high ranks organize attendance efficiently and avoid last-minute confusion.

    • Ensures every clan is properly represented at the gathering.

  2. Inclusive Communication:

    • Keeps all members updated, even if they can’t attend the gathering in real-time.

    • Allows for better integration of gathering outcomes into roleplay.

  3. Historical Tracking:

    • Recaps serve as a valuable tool for tracking past gatherings, aiding in continuity and lore development.

    • New and returning players can catch up on the evolving inter-clan dynamics.

Diplomatic Communications

The Diplomatic Communications section is a log for recording significant interactions between your clan and outsiders or other clans. These interactions might include patrol skirmishes, meetings, or any formal communications that could impact the clan’s future. This thread ensures that important events are documented and easily referenced when needed for roleplay continuity.

Purpose of Diplomatic Communications

  1. Tracking Key Events:

    • Record and archive events such as skirmishes, formal meetings, or major decisions involving other clans or outsiders.

    • Create a historical record that helps maintain consistency in inter-clan or outsider dynamics.

  2. Reference for Future Roleplay:

    • Allow high ranks and members to reference past events during meetings or ongoing storylines.

    • Provide context for evolving relationships or conflicts.

Guidelines for Posting

  1. When to Post: Post in this section if the interaction:

    • Involves outsiders, a formal clan meeting, or a skirmish.

    • Is relevant to the entire clan or likely to influence future events.

  2. When Not to Post:

    • Casual or Non-Hostile Encounters: Minor, non-conflicting interactions don’t need to be logged unless they hold significance for future reference.

  3. What to Include:

    • Summary of the Event: Provide a concise yet detailed account of what happened. Example: During a border patrol, FogClan encountered a SwiftClan patrol near Swiftbrook. A minor skirmish occurred after a disputed territory claim. No serious injuries were reported, but tensions remain high.

Date and Participants: Include the date of the interaction and any key characters or groups involved.

Why Use Diplomatic Communications?

  • Preserves History:

    • Document key moments for future reference, ensuring roleplay continuity across arcs and events.

  • Informs Clan Dynamics:

    • Allows members to stay informed about inter-clan and outsider relationships.

  • Supports High Ranks:

    • Provides a tool for leaders and high ranks to track ongoing or unresolved diplomatic issues that may require action or discussion.

Weekly Patrols

The Patrols section is the hub for organizing and tracking weekly hunting, border, and medicine cat patrols. Patrols are essential for maintaining the clan’s territory, securing resources, and supporting key roles like the medicine cat. This system ensures all members have opportunities to actively participate in clan life.

Patrol Schedule

The week is divided into two parts, with patrols assigned based on the following days:

  • Days 1–4: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

  • Days 4–7: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

If you’re unable to participate in your assigned patrol, it’s important to notify your deputy as soon as possible.

Patrol Types

  1. Border Patrols:

    • Purpose: Check and scent-mark the clan’s borders to maintain territorial boundaries and monitor for potential threats.

    • Requirement: Make at least one post showing your character performing border patrol duties, such as marking borders, scouting, or interacting with outsiders.

  2. Hunting Patrols:

    • Purpose: Hunt prey to replenish the clan’s fresh-kill pile.

    • Requirement: Post at least once about your character’s hunting efforts, such as tracking prey, catching food, or reflecting on their role in feeding the clan.

  3. Medicine Cat Patrols:

    • Purpose: Assist the medicine cat with gathering herbs, treating injuries, or performing related tasks.

Requirement: Check in with the medicine cat to see if assistance is needed. If not, you may resume regular duties, but you should still make a post about the interaction.

Rules and Information

  1. Who Posts Patrols: Patrols are organized and posted by deputies and their backups.

  2. Participation Requirements:

    • If assigned to a patrol, you are required to participate, either with your group, a friend, or solo.

    • A single post fulfilling your assigned patrol duties is sufficient to meet this requirement.

Flexibility for Realism and Schedules:

While EITM strives to maintain a realistic warrior cat experience, it’s understood that schedules may not always align. The one-post rule ensures flexibility while keeping everyone engaged.
