Players are limited to their character’s knowledge. You only know what your character knows in RP. This mechanic is the foundation of the server.
Character Clan Lock
Your characters can only be from one clan. For example, if you choose MapleClan, all your characters must be in MapleClan.
Exceptions: For story reasons or if all your characters die, you may be allowed to switch clans. Please contact an admin or create a ticket for special circumstances.
Channel History & Viewing
Limited View: You will not be able to see past RP posts. This is part of the limited knowledge mechanic. Refreshing Discord will clear your visible messages.
Retrieving Cleared Posts: Take screenshots, make notes, or maintain a storybook to keep track of your RP. If you need past messages, you can ping an admin or ask your RP partner to repost.
Talking About Clan Events OOC
Clan Discussions: Must be kept in the corresponding in-character channels or clan-related OOC channels. DMs about ongoing in-game events are discouraged to maintain the limited knowledge mechanic.
Dms with Character knowledge known between the two players is absolutely fine!
Exceptions: During and after a gathering, you can discuss events with all players in the all clan general channel.
Role Management & RP Channels
Adding RP Roles
To access RP channels, go to the following role channels at the top of the server! (These will only appear after you choose a clan)
#🍁mapleclan-roles
#🌾swiftclan-roles
#☁fogclan-roles
Add and remove roles as your character moves through specific areas. Your character will only see the history of their interactions in those places.
If you are roleplaying multiple characters at once, you can be in multiple locations simultaneously.
RP Formatting & Starting an RP
How to Start RP
When entering a new location, post a small note indicating that your character has entered the area.
Include a header with:
Character name
Pronouns
Short bio
(Optional) Roll details (e.g., hunting, foraging, fighting)
This can also be in the form of Rp Banners along with Roll Details
You can add a results sentence at the bottom of your post for clarity, but this is not required.
RP Etiquette
If you cannot reply to a post or need to step away, create an exit post for your character until you can resume.
Return your character to camp!
Important: Failing to follow this rule consistently may lead to warnings or corrective action by staff.
