Healing is the action of a cat treating an injury or illness, usually done by medicine cats. You are not required to treat, each category will have a required time-limit. Getting your cat healed by a medicine cat will greatly reduce the time your cat is hurt or sick and prevent infection, and scarring.
[My cat is hurt!! What am I supposed to do to heal them?] In your clan, you should see a channel called #healing-tickets. Create a post in the channel with the title having the corresponding information: [Cat Name - Injury - Level of Harm]. Attach the corresponding tag and in the description, write a short post on what the injury is and where it was obtained. Please also add if you are okay with your character obtaining a scar from the injury. If you do not put anything down, the medicine cat will assume no.
This is a Tracker for your healing process, rp will NOT take place here.
[I’ve created the healing ticket. Does that mean by character is healed?] No. This may take 1-3 days for your cat to be fully heal back up and recover the amount of damage they've taken. They will continue to be hurt/sick until all points are regained.
[How do medicine cats heal injured cats?] Medicine cats are allowed to treat tickets twice a day, meaning that you cat can recover 2 points per day if the outcomes are in your favour. For example:
If a cat took 5 points of harm (a level 3 harm injury) they would have to be treated 5 times.
If a cat took 2 points of harm (a level 1 harm injury) they would have to be treated 2 times.
[As a medicine cat, do I need to roll to treat injuries?] Yes. Healing requires two components: your prompt outcome + healing stat, and if you have the right amount of herbs needed to treat the injury. Not having the herbs means in an automatic miss. Cats that heal are also required to keep the Herb Tracker up to date.
Prompt Roll + Character Stat | Category | Outcome | Points Gained |
Rolls of 1, 2, or 3 | Miss | Treatment does not have any affect. | 0 |
Rolls of 4, 5, or 6 | Bad | The Treatment does little to no affect, besides making the cat feel a little better. | .5 |
Rolls of 7, 8, or 9 | Medium | The Treatment seems to be working. | 1 |
Roll of 10, 11, or 12 | Good | The Treatment is working great! | 1.5 |
After creating a ticket and describing your cats injury, medicine cats will treat the tickets! Medicine cats can treat tickets twice a day by using the prompt command in the ticket.
Here is an example:
In this example, the prompt outcome was 1 and 2. Let us assume that the medicine cat’s healing stat was 2. This would be calculated as:
PROMPT OUTCOME: 0
HEALING STAT: 2
2+0 = 2
PROMPT OUTCOME: 1
HEALING STAT: 2
1+2 = 3
On the chart, a result of 2 and 3 is a miss. This means 0 points would be gained.
[Is there a max or minimum amount of days my cat will be hurt?]
Please view the Level of Harm Guide, on the Harm guide there is an amount of days hurt/sick. This is the MAX days your cat will be hurt, counted in irl days. Hurt cats will either be Free to roam (FTR) , Camp bound (CB) , Medicine den Bound (MCB) , or Quarantined (QT)
Level of Harm | Status |
1 | FTR |
2 | FTR / CB |
3 | CB |
4 | CB / MCB |
5 | MCB |
QT AS NEEDED WITH SICKNESS. |
Medicine cats will get to you as soon as possible with your status.
Tickets can be treated twice a day as long as the herbs are available. This means keeping track of your inventory and using them wisely. Cats will heal when their time runs out, however each successful treatment will count as 1 point. Two treatments in a day will be 2 points. Cats will need to regain points lost in combat or harm. There are 10 points you can lose. 1 point = 1 day. Losing 9 points will earn you a level 5 harm and youll be required to wait 9 days or with two treatments a day earning 2 points = waiting only 4.5 days until you gain 9 points *Days are counted in your own personal timezone. If you treat at 11:59 your time its still valid. were not going to be fussy.
Medicine cats are required to inventory any herbs used in their clans herb tracker on site preferably as soon as tickets are handled to ensure an accurate inventory. Medicine cats are able to handle tickets in whatever way they see fit as long as it includes the following information:
