To ensure smooth and engaging roleplay in Echoes in the Maples, follow this structured format for all your interactions, whether solo or with other players.
1. Plan Your Roleplay
Decide Your Goals:
Determine what you want to achieve in your RP session, such as character development, interaction with others, or completing a task (e.g., hunting, patrolling).
If your roleplay requires staff or admin approval (e.g., significant plot actions or unique scenarios), handle this in advance to avoid delays.
2. Equip Relevant Roles
Navigate to your clan’s role assignment channel and equip the appropriate territory, area, or border roles to access the channels necessary for your roleplay.
3. Enter the Scene
Announce Arrival:
Begin by noting that your character has entered the area.
Example: Vinethorn has entered.
If Creating a Tread for a longer roleplay this is the time to do so.
4. Use Prompts & Stat Rolls
Use the /clan-prompt command (e.g., /maple-prompt) to generate a prompt and stat roll for your character.
Include the Results:
Based on the provided prompt and your stats, use the outcome to guide your roleplay.
Reference the provided charts to interpret the results if applicable.
5. RP Post Format
Post Structure: Begin each RP post with the following information:
Character Name and Pronouns: Clearly identify your character.
Physical Description (Brief): A short description of your character’s appearance or current state (optional if using an RP banner).
Results of Rolls (If Applicable): If your roleplay involves prompts or stat rolls, include the outcome in your post.
Example Post: Vinethorn (she/her): The muscular tabby padded cautiously along the riverbank, her tail flicking with unease. Her claws dug into the soil as she tracked the faint scent of a rival clan.
6. Claim Responses
To Avoid Confusion:
When replying to someone else’s post, either react with an emoji or explicitly state that you are claiming their post.
This ensures clarity and avoids overlapping responses.
Real-Time RP Encouraged:
Engage with others in real-time whenever possible for dynamic roleplay interactions.
7. Record Keeping
Prey and Herbs:
If your roleplay involves gathering prey or herbs, ensure you log them in the appropriate tracker once the session is complete.
Injuries:
For injury-related roleplay, submit a healing ticket (or follow the relevant process for your clan).
Other Logs:
Record any other necessary details based on your roleplay activity, such as events or plotline updates.
