ROLEPLAY SYSTEMS

Systems that EITM uses when roleplaying

The systems covered in this section are foundational to roleplaying in EITM. We will be going over:

Character POV | RP Channels

DO NOT PANIC when you cannot see the Channels History! This is to ensure you are stuck in characters POV! Please keep notes or a storybook to refer back too! you can also ping an admin to fetch a specific roleplay!

The mechanic of this server is that players are limited to their characters knowledge. You Will choose which clan you'd like to join in starclan After choosing a clan, you'll be locked into that clan only. Cats will need permission to go into other clans territory. You can Change your clan if your cat has a Hard story reason too. However we ask that players stay in one clan due to character knowledge leaks.

Video Demonstration: How "Character POV" Looks

Using the channels at the very top of the server [#🍁mapleclan-roles |  #🌾swiftclan-roles | #☁fogclan-roles]

Follow your character through the territory by adding and removing roles by pressing the corresponding

button. This will allow you into the specific area your cat is going. By doing this, Youll only see the

Interactions there when your character is present at that place. Chats will reset upon a Discord reset.

Closing or resetting the app] - Keeping character knowledge limited. This rule means that Cats will have

to give information word of mouth. Players with multiple characters, rping at once will be able to be in

multiple places at once. We ask that if you are unable to reply to a post or need to leave for a period of time,

to return to their dens/Clearing.

Constant ignorant failure to comply by this rule will result in corrective action, Mistakes will happen and

that is totally okay! Staff is here to help clean up after people, but if you actively ignore this rule with no effort

you will be talked to. Please keep in mind that Chats wipe when discord refreshes, if you need a response

reminder ask an admin Or kindly ask for a repost! Its very important to keep notes or a storybook when

roleplaying!

When entering a new location, put a small note into chat saying your cat has entered the area.

Due to the concept we ask that Clan chatter be kept to the Clan specific general until the gathering, which

happens every Month on the 1st. After then you are free to discuss this with all other clan players in the All

clan general. This rule also applies in players dms. Obviously you can speak about your character, brain storm

ideas, and discuss generally each others clans. However everything in game has to be spoken word of mouth!

Prompts, Outcomes, & Stats

Prompts

We use prompts in our server using the prompt commands in the Prompt channel in your clan. These prompts give your cat a unique experiences to the server and allow players to enjoy the server solo or roleplaying with other. You are required to run a prompt before roleplaying.

  • Simple post /"Clan"-Prompts (Maple Swift Fog -Prompts) Into the channel you are roleplaying (See Rp Channels for guidance!)

  • Follow the menu, deciding what your character is doing! The stat Category and Number at the end of the prompt shows you the outcome of your prompt, you may choose one depending on how your cat responds to the situation.

You may roleplay for as long as you want with a prompt, Just use another prompt if you prepare a different action. Stat prompts are used in situations where you just need a Combat, Healing, or Stat roll.

Outcomes

Outcomes are determined by prompt stats & character stats. We use simple simple addition and avoid any dice rolls. You'll take the Prompt Stat and Add it to your Character Stat and where that number falls on the Outcome Table will be your outcome !

Stat Categories

  • Hunting - How well your cat Hunts

  • Combat - How well your cat Fights

  • Movement - How well your cat sneaks and moves

  • Medicine - Medical knowledge (Treatment and herbal)

  • Charisma - How Friendly or charming your cat is

  • Wisdom - Experience, Knowledge, and Judgment of your cat

  • Intelligence - How smart your cat is

Outcome Table

  • Rolls of 1, 2, or 3 result in a "Miss." Your character fails the task.

  • Rolls of 4, 5, or 6 result in a "Bad" outcome. Your character performs poorly or faces challenges in completing the task.

  • Rolls of 7, 8, or 9 result in a "Medium" outcome. Your character accomplishes the task reasonably well, with some success but not flawlessly.

  • Roll of 10, 11, or 12 results in a "Good" outcome. Your character does the task perfectly, meeting or exceeding expectations.

Stats

Every EITM character has stats. These stats are important to determine your cats' actions through prompt outcomes, and graduation for adolescent characters.

For apprentices to gain their full name, they must reach a "Level Up" requirement. They can do this by obtaining shop tokens from consistent roleplaying. Level-Up tokens help level up your characters' stats.
The requirements for medicine cat and warrior apprentices are different:

Warrior Apprentices

To graduate, warrior apprentices need...

  • 4/4 in Hunting

  • 4/4 in Fighting

  • 4/4 in Movement

Medicine Cat Apprentice

To graduate, medicine cat apprentices need...

  • 4/4 in Medicine*

*Medicine stat requires double the amount of tokens to receive 1 point in medicine. 2 Tokens = 1 Med stat

Apprentices are capped to 4 stat points max for each stat category. After graduation, their stat caps are raised to 7, allowing you to further train them. The total stats a cat can receive increases the older they are.

The chart shows the cap and requirement for each age group.

Ex: if your cat just became a warrior (18 moons), that means I would have 20 stat points to spend in all stat categories.
